Summer 2021 was good reason for Thurrock Festival to reflect the Placing of Thurrock in the crossroads of time reflecting on its past, present and future. To enjoy Thurrock’s motto ‘By Thames To All Peoples Of The World”. As we come out of the Covid pandemic, this is an excellent opportunity to look forward to our future, post-Brexit. This year, the Thames Freeport has been approved by government, an independent economic zone connecting the global ports of London Gateway and Tilbury (both in Thurrock) with Ford’s Dagenham engine plant promising an economic boost to the region.
